Jen is Leaving us.

This week Jen said farewell and took us for her last event. She has been great to work with and the students enjoyed her programmes.

Term 3 is underway in Room 1.

Our LOCUS for this term is Structures and mechanisms. With this topic we will be building models and studying different types of structures. We also have cross country, gymsport and a 7 aside tournament later in the term.  Do not forget homework sheet and spelling words go out each week. The homework sheet should be handed in on the Friday and there is a level test on their words every 3 weeks. So it is going to be another busy but great term to challenge our thinking and learning. We are focussing on our self management!

Soccer at Waerenga School

For term 2 the school had Jen visiting us to support our soccer skills programme. In the last week of term we had a soccer festival were all the students got put into teams and played a round robin tornament.

Room 1 Puppets

Over the term Room 1 have been making their puppets and writing plays to perform to the class at the end of term 2. The students really enjoyed working on their puppets and developing their plays.

Room 1 Soccer skills Term2.

For this term Jen has been visiting our school to take us for soccer skills. We all have shown good skill development over the term,

Waerenga Welcome in.

On Sunday 23 June we had a welcome in for new families to Waerenga. They had the opportunity to look around the school, meet staff, visit the Recreation Centre to see the upgrades of playgroup building and have food for lunch put on by the schools PTA.
The day was enjoyed by all.
